The Guaranteed Construction Sum (GCS) accepted in December 2015, confirmed completion of the new inpatient building by the end of 2018 and provided an indicative schedule of works.
The Managing Contractor for the RHH Redevelopment is a joint venture of John Holland a large Tier 1 contractor with extensive hospital construction experience, combined with Fairbrother with extensive Tasmanian construction experience.
The Managing Contractor knows how best to deliver the project on time, and it is responsible for planning and programming the works.
The schedule of works, such as when floor slabs are poured, will be monitored to assess progress however.
Updates on construction milestones will be released every six months.
