More Redevelopment Tenders Advertised

More opportunities for local subcontractors on the $689 million RHH Redevelopment were advertised on Saturday, 4 November 2017.

Substantial work is changing the face of the construction site with multiple concrete slab sections now laid that form part of the lower and ground floors of K-Block.

While major construction is underway, work behind the scenes continues with the procurement of sub-contracts for the building’s finishes.

Three packages for the fit out of K-Block have been advertised with more scheduled over the coming weeks.

The painting subcontract and the supply and application of vinyl and carpet and the ceramic tiling and stonework within K-Block have all been advertised.

The supply and installation of blinds, signage, metal roofing and roof access walkways for K-Block are scheduled for advertising on 11 November 2018.

The metalwork subcontract is scheduled for advertising on 18 November 2017.

Over $110 million of subcontracts for major works packages have already been awarded this year.

The Tasmanian Government and the RHH Redevelopment are committed to maximising the participation of Tasmanian businesses and workers in the project.

The Redevelopment’s Managing Contractor tenders works using the Tasmanian Government’s Buy Local Policy.

Local sub-contractors are encouraged to register their interest on the ICN gateway https://gateway.icn.org.au/
